What is a doula?

"A doula is a woman who is trained to assist another woman during the sacred experience of childbirth. She provides continual physical, emotional support as well as education and advocacy for the mother to be before, during, and after pregnancy. 

As a doula I view the childbearing continuum as sacred and am honored to facilitate a non-judgmental experience grounded in the following: education and advocacy, ancient wisdom, protecting the birth memory of the mother, creating a container of safety for the family, and preventative and restorative care." 

What is a full-spectrum Doula?
